Camil Sader, MD, FACS, is a general and laparoscopic surgeon practicing in South Florida.
Aggravated by the fact that he had to copy long lists of patients daily from the day prior's list, and his insight on the iPhone's capabilities, Dr. Sader set on a mission with his coder to produce Dr. Rounds.  A project still in evolution, the application demonstrates the essential tasks that are needed by a healthcare provider to keep track of what is important on rounds while keeping tabs on billing to avoid loss of revenue in this day and age.  Please enjoy this application.  We will, in our utmost capacity, take your suggestions seriously and try to implement them in future versions of Dr. Rounds.

HIPAA POLICY

HIPAA regulations are specific about the end result required if an entity uses email: health information sent via electronic means must be protected against unauthorized access. However, these regulations do not name a particular technology.  Data sent via our servers is encrypted to the highest level of security using Starter SSL (TM) certificates and cannot be intercepted and decrypted except by the intended recipient. We ensure privacy for both sender and recipient. Files sent are locked with a password defined by the sender and there is no alteration of the messages sent. Data sent through our servers is automatically deleted permanently in 12 hours regardless of whether it was retrieved or not.  Dr. Rounds, LLC and it's affiliates, directors, and technical support staff cannot access the content of the patient data sent via our servers unless directed to us with the authorization of the sender, solely for purposes of technical troubleshooting.
