Summary
Dr. Rounds Plus is a healthcare application, designed by a surgeon,
which allows healthcare professionals to easily keep a patient list
which tracks admissions, daily visits, diagnoses, procedures, type of
service and maintains uninterrupted billing charges of patients.
THE MAIN GOAL IS TO MAINTAIN UNINTERRUPTED BILLING ON CHARGES THAT WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE BEEN LOST BY NEGLIGENCE OR INCORRECT CODING. OTHER FEATURES INCLUDE THE IMPORT OF PATIENT RECORDS SENT VIA THE INTERNET WEBAPP BY YOUR OFFICE SECRETARY OR HOSPITAL CLERK.
This application:
- Replaces that piece of paper we use to guide us through our rounds, on which we scribble diagnoses and type of service
- Provides a list of our current patients within the various hospitals, care centers, or the office
- Capability of receiving patient data sent to the user via the Dr. Rounds Web Portal and imported into Dr. Rounds Plus
- Browse through past patients
- Copy current patients quickly or entire lists to future dates
- Search patients with any criteria including the 'Note' section
- Back up and restore the database via SyncDocs or File Sharing within iTunes
- Securely email full lists of patients or searched results to other healthcare professionals or billing staff. Billing status is readily displayed, so no charges go unrecorded
- Ability to select multiple treatments, diagnoses, and procedures
- Editable Notes that are displayed in the patient listing
- More powerful search capabilities and the option to enter free text
- Option to sort searchable treatment, procedure, doctor, and diagnosis fields alphabetically
- Customized email output with optional header elimination and selection of which fields within a record to email
- Ability to transmit emailed lists to multiple recipients
- Color coded status
Dr. Rounds+ is not an EMR. It does not include any CPT or ICD9 codes, however, there is room for you to build your own ‘diagnosis’, 'treatment', and ‘procedure’ lists with your short hand descriptions followed by the applicable codes. You do this once for each entry and it’s there the next time you encounter a patient with the same ailment.
All fields are fully editable, customizable, and searchable. The program allows doctors to create dated patient records. Each patient record has the Date seen, Patient’s name, Date of birth, Date of admission, Treatment, Diagnosis, Status, Hospital, Procedure, and Physician category. The user can also enter any notes about their patient’s visit. These fields are completely customizable and do not come with any standardization. This makes the program applicable to any medical specialty.
The main goal of this program is to keep a tight track on charge capture and record the billing status of the daily visits, consults, and procedures primarily encountered in an inpatient setting. The patient list is created on a given date and then patient encounters are recorded as new consults, daily visits, post-ops, procedures, etc... Once the patient is seen, they are marked as so. Subsequently, when the healthcare professional compiles their daily or weekly billing summary, they can confirm that all patients that have pending charges do get billed. An easy search can also display the missed charges.
In future updates, the Peer-to-Peer feature will facilitate data transfer between parties via our network servers.
